June 14th

The Revolt of Mother: "At last she looked up, and her eyes showed the spirit that her meek front had covered for a lifetime." This line just makes me feel proud. After years of being just a wife and mother, she is finally standing up for herself and doesn't care what anyone has to say about her decision. I was so glad in the end when the father agreed to living there.
As Children Together: The line : I am going to have it, you said," stuck out to me. It just seems like she is full of ambition and will fight for what she wants. The end of the poem I found to be sad because it seemed like she never really found whatever she was looking for. This poem just made me think back to people I was friends with when I was younger, but we have since grown apart.
Trifles: Toward the end when the two ladies were talking, Mrs. Hale said, "We live close together and we live far apart. We all go through the same things- it's all just a different kind of the same thing." This stuck out to me because it is so true. In the play, she seems to feel remorse for not being a better friend, and Mrs. Peters tries to tell her that everyone is busy with their own lives. This quote really made me think of the relationships I have with the people I surround myself with.
